Honoring the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital and Jennifer Finkelstein, founder of the “5 Under 40” Foundation
New York philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff chaired the The Ellen Hermanson Starry Night Gala this past Saturday, July 23rd. The Ellen Hermanson Foundation proudly honoredJennifer Finkelstein of 5 Under 40 Foundation and the doctors, nurses and medical staff ofThe Ellen Hermanson Breast Center of Southampton Hospital. In her opening remarks, Jean Shafiroff expressed the importance of giving back to the community, and the impact theStarry Night Gala has on aiding medically underserved women. Dr. Julie Ratner honored her sister, late Ellen Hermanson, and her mission to bring awareness to early detection and educating breast cancer patients who need the most support.
Over 300 philanthropists, friends, and celebrities were welcomed in celebration of Ellen Hermanson Foundation’s two decades of achievements. Singer, Meredith O’Connerperformed while guests enjoyed delicious fare served by Chris Robbins of Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Guests had the opportunity to bid in a silent auction for merchandise from generous donors such as a private dinner in your home by Chef Ann Ogden, tickets and dinner to the Metropolitan Opera, spa treatments, and a foursome of golf at Baiting Hollow.The Charity Buzz auction will remain online until August.
