Resident Magazine and Chelsea Station celebrated Jean Shafiroff, Philanthropist & Author of Successful Philanthropy: How To Make a Life by What You Give, on the cover of Resident Magazine’s August Hamptons 2016 issue. The event, which took place on Wednesday, August 24^th, 2016, was hosted by Publisher Michael Travin, Associate Publisher Melissa Kassis, and Editor-In-Chief Hillary Latos, at chic restaurant & bar Chelsea Station.

She has worked both in public finance and private partnerships on Wall Street. Prior to that, she was a physical therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. Jean is married to Martin Shafiroff, an investment advisor, and together they have two daughters, Jacqueline and Elizabeth, who share their mother’s interest in charitable causes.
