The MOMS & New York Family Magazine Celebrated With A Cover Party And A Back To School Special On Sirius XM

The MOMS Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein along with New York Family Magazinehosted a Cover Party and a Back To School Special on SiriusXM on Tuesday, August 16^th, 2016. The event was sponsored by: America’s number one Greek yogurt Chobani Greek Yogurt, the world’s largest submarine sandwich chain Subway, global underwear and casualwear company Fruit of the Loom, children’s clothing and community giving companyKidbox and interactive music program Baby DJ School.

Attendees included: Denise Albert, Melissa Musen Gerstein, Eric Messinger, Tierney Model, Megan Flynn, Larry Kruysman, Liz Monti, Casey Drake and Mia Weber.

Event co-host New York Family Magazine, the largest multi-platform family media company in New York City, celebrated the MOMS on the August 2016 cover of the magazine. The event took place in the historic vaulted lobby of One Hundred Barclay, a new condominium development in Tribeca, and the SiriusXM taping was held in one of the new Taylor Spellman-designed model residences on the 25th floor, where Champagne and Hors D’Oeuvres will be served. 

An hour into the event, New York Family Magazine Editor Eric Messinger said a few words to thank the MOMS for gracing the magazine’s August cover, and for their “real” and soulful input for the related article. Messinger added that he was incredibly moved by Denise’s approach to her cancer treatment and that she is a true inspiration to others in a similar situation. He also extended a thank you to the cover girls’ photographer Sarah Manson, makeup artist Joan and stylist Mindy Allan. Melissa then went on to thank guests for attending the event and especially New York Family Magazine Deputy Editor Mia Weber, for the thoughtful and eloquently written article. Denise ended with a few words of gratitude to everyone at NY Family Magazine and all the sponsors who made the event possible. She added that “being on a magazine cover is an incredible feeling” and that they were both humbled by Messinger’s nice words as well as the beautifully done cover and article.
