Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation to Host Cocktail Party to Kick Off Hamptons Happening& Step Up To Turn Cancer Off
The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) is hosting a special Cocktail Party on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, at Versa in New York City to kick off two vital SWCRF fundraising events: the 18th Annual Hamptons Happening and the virtual Step Up To Turn Off Cancer. Events such as these have allowed SWCRF to invest more than $100 million towards collaborative cancer research, supporting hundreds of investigators around the world, and has led to many breakthrough discoveries. The Step Up To Turn Cancer Off is a new virtual fundraising event where participants keep track of their physical activities in order to reach their daily “step” goal. An easy-to-use online tool will convert nearly any activity such as walking, running swimming, dancing, yoga, gardening etc. into steps. Participants can register individually or as a team and then share progress with peers and family to garner donations. The week-long challenge runs from June 6th through 12th, 2022.
