Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s 61st Annual Summer Party was an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing to benefit the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department. Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events provided the ambiance and gourmet offerings. Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and her husband Martin Shafiroff were honored at the event. Larry Scott’s floral décor was inspired by Jean Shafiroff’s elegant style and glamorous gowns.

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is staffed by approximately 250 physicians, dentists, and allied health professionals representing more than 50 medical specialties. A campus of Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital offers a diverse array of clinical services, ranging from primary medical care to specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedics and bariatrics. As the South Fork’s only emergency care facility, the Jenny & John Paulson Emergency Department is open year-round.  It is a Level III Trauma Center, with surgical residents in-house 24|7 and a full team available within a 30-minute response time. Nationally recognized as a high performing ER*, it also offers a ‘Fast Track’ to address with minor injuries and illnesses as quickly as possible. The hospital includes a Heart and Stroke Center and a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory was opened at the hospital in 2018.  The new Phillips Family Cancer Center just opened in April 2019 providing the East End community with advanced, comprehensive cancer care right here in Southampton in a state-of-the-art healing environment. The Stony Brook Southampton hospital also includes The Breast Health Center, The Center for Advanced Wound Healing, and 32 satellite care centers throughout the South Fork of Long Island. The hospital is the largest employer on the South Fork with more than 1,200 employees.
