An Exclusive Press Event At The Woolworth Building In NYC Announcing The Debut Of The Accessible Art Fair New York, Presented By MVVO Art

Brussels’ Acclaimed Artist-Led Art Fair and U.S. partner MvVO ART, together with media partner, artnet

Accessible Art Fair Brussels and its US partner MvVO ART hosted an exclusive press event held at the eminent Woolworth Building headquarters of media partner Artnet, on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016, to announce the first Accessible Art Fair New York edition this November. The New York edition will be directed by Maria van Vlodrop, with Stephanie Manasseh as Chief Curator joined by Isaac Aden as guest curator. The concept is simple: make artists accessible to the public and make the public accessible to the artists.

Notable attendees included: Maria van Vlodrop (Founder of MvVO ART, Director & Co-Founder, Accessible Art Fair New York edition), Stephanie Manasseh (Founder & Director, Accessible Art Fair and Chief Curator New York edition), Isaac Aden Guest Curator, Accessible Art Fair New York), Ann Lydecker Bunge  (Vice President, Collectrium & Accessible Art Fair New York Jury Member), Marcel Ceuppens(Accessible Art Fair New York Participating Artist), Christophe Allard (Director of Sales and Commercial Strategy (US), Brussels Airlines), Margaret Ann Withers (Accessible Art Fair New York Participating Artist) and Gert Tangrootenhuysen (Belgian Chamber of Commerce in New York) and Louisa Shadforth.

At the press conference, Maria van Vlodrop, introduced the panel and said a few words about how MvVO ART partnered up with the Accessible Art Fair Brussels to bring this new concept to New York. Stephanie Manasseh then highlighted how the inauguration of Accessible Art Fair New York is an extension of the 10 year success story that is Accessible Art Fair Brussels, and the opportunities it has opened up for emerging artists over the years. She also noted how this will be the first time that the National Arts Club are hosting a contemporary art fair which is also open to the public.

The artists present – Marcel Ceuppens and Margaret Ann Withers, said a few words about how the Accessible Art Fair offered them a platform to showcase their artworks and enabled them to launch their careers. Previously having been exhibiting artists at Accessible Art Fair Brussels, they were both very enthusiastic about soon exhibiting at the very first Accessible Art Fair New York. A special thank you was extended to Artnet for hosting the event. The Accessible Art Fair New York for emerging and mid-career artists of quality takes place at The National Arts Club in Gramercy Park, New York, November 1-25, 2016. Approximately 60 carefully selected artists will exhibit paintings, sculptures and photography encompassing a variety of styles. The prominent jury which handpicked these artists included experts from Sotheby’s, Gagosian Gallery, Christie’s Collectrium and Artnet. The artists selected have been offered the opportunity to show a selection of their work at the inaugural Accessible Art Fair in New York at the National Arts Club. The National Arts Club’s mission is to stimulate, foster and promote public interest in the arts – providing artists with a platform to be discovered by the art world, collectors and the general public.
